One-on-one counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in order to create harmony. Individual therapy provides you the opportunity to work through challenging memories, identify aspects of your life that you would like to change, and better understand yourself, as well as others. Together, we will create personal goals and work toward desired change. Therapy for individuals is specifically tailored to help you find balance and cultivate wellness in your daily life.
The creation of a trusting relationship is at the heart of therapy with an adolescent. The therapeutic space is solely focused on developing a strong sense of self, emotional strength, healthy relationships, and clear communication. The language of child and teen therapy is largely non-verbal. The use of art activities, unstructured play, and games allows for authentic interaction in a collaborative environment. Therapy for teens is centered around social and emotional well being.
Art therapy can be used to provide you with a deeper understanding of yourself. This approach uses art media, the creative process, and the resulting artwork as a therapeutic and healing process. While Art Therapy does not require previous art experience, it does call for an open mind and authentic experimentation. Therapy using the creative process is at the heart of understanding emotional expression and experiences.
